Incognito allows you to change your phone’s dialer app so that outgoing calls are made without your phone’s number attached to the call. This allows you to make the call without ever revealing your real phone number to the person you are calling.
Why not just block my caller id?
Because, many people will not answer your call if they don’t see a caller id. Also, they might want to call you back and then you are stuck…what number to give them?
This is where Incognito comes in. It attaches a real phone number to your call so the person receiving your call will see a phone number on their caller id display, just not yours! They will see a special SpokenBuzz number that is temporarily assigned to you. If they *69 or call you back, the call will be connected to your real phone number.
So, you can go back-and-forth with them via phone calls without ever revealing your real number.
Call Screening
When a person calls you back, SpokenBuzz calls you and tells you the number of the person calling. You can decide to accept the call or send them to voicemail. While you are deciding, all the caller hears is a ringing phone. They will never know that you are using Incognito or SpokenBuzz. If you cannot answer the phone, they can leave a message for you too.
DialAround
Incognito now includes DialAround. An easy way to avoid paying your cell phone operator/carrier any overage charges by using it in combination with your Friends & Family or Calling Circle type plans.
How much does it cost?
Not much. There are no monthly or recurring charges. Just load up your account with some money and then pay for only when you use it. The current rate per minute is 3.9 cents.
